While my time at Clemson was spent mostly in classes or the Library, I spent some time doing outreach.

Clemson Care Connects is a local non-profit food bank that works with those most affected by poverty in the community. With food, toiletries, and bath items available for pickup, I worked to stock items on shelves, assist patrons by brings things to their vehicles, and even made drop offs at local schools. I started going to the facility my Sophomore year, and continued through until leaving the area in 2020.

Since returning to my hometown of Raleigh, NC, I have continued this service at a local food bank. The engagement with the community and specifically those who are going through some of the toughest times has been very fulfilling. I plan to continue this work and hope the bring friends and family to offer more support to these great organization.
